Haydon Bridge The village of Haydon Bridge sits on the banks of the River Tyne and is an ideal location for accessing both the North Pennine Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland National Park, and the lead mining heritage of the Weardale valleys. There are shops, cafes, and various atractions including Haydon Spa. One of the villages famous sons is John Martin the painter. Haydon parish is based round the village of Haydon Bridge which straddles the A69 Newcastle to Carlisle road. It has several hotels, pubs, shops, and a range of attractions. We hope to have more information available soon. If you want to contribute to the site please contact us or your parish council who will be mailed details of how to contribute. |
